At Caye Living Properties, we’ve been helping people find their piece of paradise on Caye Caulker since 2010. What started as a family’s dream of a simpler, more beautiful life has grown into a trusted real estate business built on relationships, integrity, and local expertise.

Brokers Tommy and Sara moved from Austin, Texas, bringing their real estate backgrounds to the island. As the business grew, Akheil and Estrella joined the team, ensuring every client gets top-tier service.

I love life on Caye Caulker!  I truly believe there is no place like it.  Picture this:  You're about to cook breakfast, and you realize at the last minute that you're out of eggs.  All you have to do is walk barefoot down a quiet sandy lane and buy a few fresh eggs from the local corner store; throughout your short walk, you enjoy hibiscus flowers and oleander dripping over fences and glimpses of the clear blue sea every few feet.  You're back at home in 10 minutes, never having had to get in the car or fight traffic or grocery store lines.  It's not just the ease, it's the tranquil beauty that makes it all the more groovy...

My career as a Realtor in Texas brought me several awards, including Rookie of the Year, but most rewarding was the opportunity to help my clients accomplish their real estate goals (I know that sounds a bit cheesy, but it's true). It has been such a thrill to be a part of fulfilling people's dreams!  Helping buyers and sellers in Caye Caulker, Belize since 2010 has been truly rewarding.

Prior to becoming a Realtor, I worked for ten years investigating child abuse and neglect emergencies, a career with a life-and-death aspect that ultimately prepared me to handle just about any crisis. I believe my negotiation skills and ability to really listen to my buyer clients can be attributed in part to my years in child protection. My passion for helping people is the driving force behind my career as a real estate agent.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, USA, as well as a solid real estate education from the Austin Institute of Real Estate and continuing real estate education hours from Texas State University.  I have had my real estate license since 2005 and have been practicing real estate ever since.

Previous to this fun and rewarding island life, I graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in Psychology. I am a proud Cougar! I then served in the United States Navy for 10 years, specializing in mobile secure communications in the Naval Special Warfare community in Coronado, California. After a brief stint as a communications contractor for the US Army in and around Baghdad, Iraq, I returned stateside and took 210 hours of real estate courses at a college in Austin, Texas, and moved to Belize! 

Let my decade of experience assisting buyers and sellers on Caye Caulker work in your favor. One of my greatest joys is living on the magnificent island of Caye Caulker. I was brought up in Belize City and am the fourth son of six children. Growing up, whenever I had school holidays, I would visit this Paradise Island and always dreamed of living here. I am a proud graduate of Gwen Lizarraga High School in Belize City. I also have continuing education through classes with the Belize Tourism Industry Association and currently serve as the Treasurer for Caye Caulker BTIA.

I moved to Caye Caulker from Belize City in 2014, where I was searching for that career that would match my personality. In 2015, I found that I love working in the real estate field alongside Tommy and Sara. This position helps to expand my knowledge and allows me to work in an environment that values my customer service skills. I started as a receptionist, then spent a few years as an Office Manager at Caye Living Properties in Caye Caulker. My experience assisting Tommy and Sara over the years has prepared me for my current position as Sales Agent. I look forward to providing the very best service to our wonderful customers here on the island of Caye Caulker, and I can't wait to assist you in the purchase or sale of your Belize Dream Property!

Estrella is a true Island Girl, having been raised on the lovely Island of Caye Living Properties. Not wanting a change of scenery for school, she attended and graduated from Ocean Academy High School. She accomplished much of her volunteering and training through programs with different business establishments. It was here that she first met Tommy Egan, who was heading up the composting and gardening class at the time. He considered Estrella to be one of his top students! After graduating, in 2013 she began working with Sara Warner as the front desk receptionist at a previous brokerage. Estrella eventually ended up putting her career on pause to raise her son in his youngest years, but Caye Living was lucky to have Estrella become part of the team again in July 2022!

Estrella has been influenced by her fishing family background, which led her to become an advanced open-water scuba diver and is now a licensed tour guide. Her education in this endeavor has broadened her knowledge of her beautiful country of Belize. In her spare time, she loves to be out at sea. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and exploring her country through adventures with her loved ones.
